We learn much here about other members and people in general; perspective, background, psychology and behaviour, hidden by a user name and avatar. What have *you* learned about yourself and others? The good and the bad but keep it reasonably courteous.

Oh, and uh, I've learned that I have a tendency to annoy people both online and offline, but more so offline...

I've "learn" that there are a lot of myths about women, all comming from people that, after making a statement, declares that women is mostly unknown to them. About myself, I think I've learned that I'm a bit annoying. In fact, the greatest leasson wold be that, given a chance, everyone can be.

Since enjoying these forums I've learnt much about myself.
I'm negative, opinionated and don't always know what I'm on about.Embarrassed
I am honest though.Approve

I've learned that I can't write half-way decent reviews.  Wait, I've known that for a long time.

I did once win second-place in the DGM monthly review contest, scoring a free KCCC CD of my choice.  I guess there was only one other review posted that month.

You learn a lot just by looking at the name and the avatar... and even more with the interaction with others.....In the second part of that, I've learn that I need to respect more other people's tastes and feelings, that I can be entertaining without being grotesque, that the world and any little society is WAY MUCH better if you try to live WITH the others and not UPON the others, that even when you think you know a lot, you really don't know much, there are people that know more, and somebody will know more than they do. I've learned that there are som many different kinds of people, that you can't generalize or say "he's like this because he does this and like this and..." You can see it here: there's nothing except the common love for prog that makes us all the same....

Abot the avatar, i don't know about you, but you can learn something about me.... I haven't taken it out because I kind of like it and it's like my staple...But you can easily detect a somewhat dark, strange person that tries to earn respect out of shock and shock-effect rather than by showing his true self, which he very slowly has been doing as of lately.... You can learn by the name that the person is egotistical as he chooses the first letter of his word and a THE before it, like saying "this is one of a kind".... It's me, what can I do, but believe me, I've learned here more than I've lost here... I don't know about others, but, as weird as it may sound or as "loser" as it may look, I think my relationship with PA has been of benefit for me.

....And for you, of course....  Big%20smile

Only thing I've learned about myself is that...
A straight up thrash/death metal kid can like prog, and prog really can open your mind to all different kinds of music.

I've learned that, alot of people here are nice, respectful, fun loving, some are a lil jackass-ish though...

I've learned that I can actually write a half decent review if I need to, but most of the time I hate writing reviews because I have little faith in my writing skills.

Although I knew before I joined here.

I've learned I am me and you are you.

Honestly now

I think I have learned that nobody here is as he seems to be at first. For the first mounths here I pretty much had a complete different idea of how everyone is than now. Mostly for the best, but also for the worst
I have learned that not everybody gets my humor... well, I already knew that...
I have learned that there are really cool people here... and... oh God, Im gonna cry... I promesed myself I wouldnt... this is so touching...
well, and that others here are freakin n00bs... you know who you are!

^^^ I think you love everybody. You're just afraid to display your vulnerability.
