I'm a recluse, or something like that...

Noobs and Geeks have an excuse.
I guess I would also say snobs. We always attack what we hate about ourselves, don't we?

All are necessary, and none of them is really bad, although I have no use from n00bs myself, that's always a starting point.

it takes balls to be a noob. gotta start somewhere, eh? it seems like geeks and snobs are the same, with snobs expressing general disdain for those with less "refinement" and the geeks just being (or choosing to be) aloof and oblivious. it takes a bold noob to challenge the self-righteous attitude of the snob.

Even worst than snobs are Posers.
At least most snobs kbnow about what they are talking, Posers try to appear as snobs but know absolutely nothing, If I had a dollar for each time I heard ´phrases like "That guy Jethro Tull is a hell of a flute player" or "The best Jethro Tull song is "The House oh the King" said by posers trying to impress, I would be rich.
Almost very Prog fan is a snob in certain degree, we may like other genres but we believe that Prog is more elaborate, complex or better than the rest.
Some people even hate bands like Kansas or Pink Floyd only because they had finantial success, that's what I call a fanatic snob the one who believes the Prog musician has to starve and keep the status of cult or underground artist to be real.
