i try to get some sheet music of progressive bands, but all I can find is guitar tabs.... Are there any websites about sheet music for woodwinds (flute, saxophon, oboe, clarinet) ?? I.e., there's a lot of great flute music in prog (King Crimson's i talk to the wind, camel, jethro tull and focus of course)

It's not ideal but if you get a demo of guitar pro it displays in proper notation as well as tab, and often people tab out all the instruments used. I'm sure someone else'll know a link for it. Mine's a cracked copy which means it won't update, but the uncracked one won't print unless you pay for it. Alternatively if you get any decent MIDI software (pro logic, for example), you can download the MIDI files and then open them and you'll be able to see all the individual parts. Alternatively you could try learning to read in tab. Odd as that sounds, a lot of people arrange other instruments for guitar, and I've managed to be able to read tab slowly on cello and keyboard.

You can find guitar tab for a lot of prog bands by just doing a google search using the band name and the words guitar tab but that supposes you are a guitarist.

I may be barking up the wrong tree however.

How about keyboard tabs, though? These seem to be pretty rare, even if you search 'keyboard tab' it always comes up with guitar ones

Really? How utterly annoying. That is p*ss poor.

For those of us that are lucky enough to play guitar, I found this website that deals with tab for prog bands. Dunno if it's any good though..

For guitar pro, go to www.mysongbook.com and you can find lots of files to download (the demo won't print anything though, but you can convert to midi and then open it with something else

Sshh! I'd keep quiet about software piracy if I were you - you never know who's reading these posts!
