Topic: video of me playing "Red" Posted: July 03 2006 at 20:14 |
just recorded this whilst I was bored one day. Kinda sick of just
seeing shred guitar videos and decided to make a video of one of the
best instrumentals ever! It's definately not perfect (I messed up once
or twice on that scale climb in the beginning), but I believe it's a
decent effot.

1960 Gibson ES-345 I believe. My grandpa played it in his own band back in the 60s.

Good job man. The distortion really isn't that far off. I agree, it's nice to see someone post a vid of them playing some KC instead of all that shred!

Nice job man!!!
Im a guitarist myself, and Red is one of those songs I really get a kick out of playing.
My other prog faves to rock out on are Siberian Khatru (man, thats a
fun one), Starless (this one isn't too complex, but really makes you
work out those bends), and Freewill (its just so fun to play).
Keep the prog love alive man!
btw, check out my band if ya want, I'm the bassist in Chicken Noodle
Hammer. Not really prog, though we do cover Gong, Tull, Roxy, Focus,
Bowie, and the Beatles so, I guess you could say we're prog related.

i took most of the tab from one of the power-tabs off
ultimate-guitar.com (one of the only guitar tab sites that haven't been
shut down due to legal trouble ), and I figured out the "pre-chorus" riffs myself.

You've heard this already, but very nice job! Really inspired me to learn the rest of Larks Tongues pt. II on bass!
