To the risk of sounding repetitive, I'd also like to mention "Tarkus" (even better than KE9, IMHO), CTTE and "The Gates...". However, I don't know if the superb "Starless" - considerably shorter than the above titles - would qualify as an epic.

However, outside the realms of symphonic prog, I'd put forward two particular favourites of mine: Caravan's "Disassociation 100%" and Hatfield and the North's "Mumps".

VdGG - A Plague of Lighthouse Keepers
Banco - L'Evoluzione
KC - Starless
Peter Hammill - A Louse is Not a Home
Curved Air - Piece of Mind

Not sure if it qualifies: Gentle Giant - Mr. Class and Quality/Three Friends.

(And I just discovered Discipline: Unfolded like Staircase from '97. Right now Into The Dream and Before the Storm I & II sonds like two of the greatest long epics of the last 30 years. I have to wait and see if it lasts though. Edit: It didn't last. Its still good, but not  in the same league as the ones above )

I think of Starless as an epic, just like the 9.22 min long In the Court..., while Nine Feet Underground and Mumps more as very long (and very good) tracks. But I'm no expert.

Kohntarkohz, CTTE, Ommadawn, Delirium Cordia.. and The Rime of the Ancient Mariner. ;)

substitute in Fracture and l'Isola di Niente for anything if they count; they're only eleven minutes but I find them incredibly epic, and besides they're two of the best songs in the world.
