Topic: Lesser-known Neo-Prog Posted: January 28 2006 at 22:39 |
Hello, all.
I'm looking into some of the lesser-known Neo bands out there. So far I've enjoyed what I've heard of these bands:
Collage Saens Satellite Strangefish La Tulipe Noire
And I have albums by these bands on my wish list:
Afterglow Atlas Clepsydra Credo Fish Galahad Galleon Solaris Twelfth Night
Any other lesser-known Neo bands out there I might like?
(Don't make fun of me )

Snow Dog sent me Collage's Safe, and its brilliant.
As for RPWL, I downloaded a song of theirs from the InsideOut website and its not as good as I would have hoped for, but I dont know wether this is typicall of the band or not.
As for the others i've got to check them out first myself.

Check out the little known band Episode ... recommended by Fishy
actually! ... two of their albums are available for free download ...
made available by the composer/keyboardist himself Nick Peck) at a
website called underthebigtree.com ... click on music and then the
Episode albums Starlight Tales and Into The Epicentre ...
Not to be missed ... by fans of neo-prog who also like Glass Hammer

Check out Gazpacho from Norway, and Final Conflict (their song "stop" is one of my favourites). I believe they are now known as FC.

Yes, I left out Pendragon, Pallas, Arena and IQ because I already have many of their albums. But I do appreciate the new additions Fishy, which I higlighted in blue.

I just heard the SKEEM stream and it sounds good indeed. I love those throbbing, Arena-like guitar chops. In fact, the guitar play is quite interesting throughout. Thanks, W.Chuck!
