żEver tried to throw a Prog party for New year, or tried to use prog material into someone else's party, or to use it as soundscape on a bar or pub?, żdid it worked?

I will save you.

The idea will only work if there are a lot of proglovers around. Lots of people don't like or understand progmusic.

If I play progmusic on a party I wouldn't last long !

"Lots of people don't like or understand progmusic."

Very true.  I was driving with my family to the hospital once, and I had brought Meddle, at it was playing Echoes.  My mom and sister both said to turn it to the country station.  It was at the part with the echoed screeches when they started to get annoyed.

I tried that in the past, but even proglovers seem to be turned off by this option... I don't know if this kind of music isn't aproppiated or what. I thought Porcupine tree and some other bands could do the trick, but something just doesn't seem to work.
