Steve Priest (The Sweet)

But then Fee Waybill ( The Tubes) might be a contender maybe

I love The Tubes! When I was just a tiny thing (well,17) I bought the video they made to accompany the "Completion Backward Principle" album which was a very elaborate concept video to go with most of the tracks on the album and a few extra goodies thrown in and in one of those,a great song called "Sports Fans",Fee Waybill actually struts around full frontally stark naked so I guess he always had slightly more than just a bit of the exhibitionist in him.

You are all too young to remember the photos that went with ads for the Rolling Stones single release of "Hve You Seen Your Mother (Standing In The Shadows)"in the 60's  - the boys looked right slappers.

Peter Gabriel during his tenure with Genesis - (inston Churchill dressed in drag  used to be a British flag......)

Queen..............................who wanted to break free...................

There was an obscure 1980s band called Agony Bag, who dressed like Fee Waybill. Note that one or two of the members of the band are not actually in drag...

Ooooh you bitch, I suppose I asked for that duckie - Geritol? - one of the Spice Girls?? I'm minded that the member's stats now show there are even older farts than me around. But remember what Groucho said: You're only as old as the young girls you feel. (But I'm sure what  went for commonplace in the 1930's - remember them Peter? - you could get arrested  in the 21st Century)
