I am getting a flute for Chrstmas, and i want to know what i should get....i want a flute with a gizmo like Ian Anderson, i want to be able to play like anderson!

What type of flute does he use?

Hmmm. As far as I know he just uses a flute and either puffs or kind of sings into it (kind of kazoo-style). There are many different flute techniques that he uses, you'll just have to listen and experiment.

I play flute, and to get Ian Anderson's 'buzz' flute sound you sing notes whilst also blowing/playing the flute as normal. He nicked it from Roland Kirk, so if you haven't heard him, I suggest you check him out, also Harold McNair who is probably one of the best sax/flute players ever!

I suggest you get a Selmer beginners flute, but make sure it has a 'split E' mechanism.
