BIll Bruford: "I have one or two strange bits and pieces up my sleeve and a fair amount of recorded live stuff. [...] I do have some very exciting playing from the Bruford group". He goes on to suggest that live Bruford material could be included as bonus tracks on reissues.
Re-issues and archival releases
Bruford has set up two new record labels, Summerfold and Winterfold, distributed through Voiceprint. Summerfold is to concentrate on new releases (beginning with Random Acts of Happiness—see above) and re-releases of Earthworks albums, while Winterfold will reissue remastered albums from Bruford's back catalogue and unreleased archival material. The first Winterfold releases are expected this year. The following list has been released:
Bill Bruford's Earthworks, The Full Works (SFVP002CD)—possibly a compilation?
Bill Bruford's Earthworks, Earthworks (SFVP003CD)
Bill Bruford's Earthworks, Dig (SFVP004CD)
Bill Bruford's Earthworks, All Heaven Broke Loose (SFVP005CD)
Bill Bruford's Earthworks, Stamping Ground (SFVP006CD)
Bill Bruford, Music for Piano & Drums (WFVP001CD)—a Bruford/Moraz album
Bill Bruford, Feels Good to Me (WFVP002CD)
Bill Bruford, Flags (WFVP003CD)—a Bruford/Moraz album
Bill Bruford, Bill Bruford (WFVP004CD)—I don't know what this is
Bill Bruford, Gradually Going Tornado (WFVP005CD)
Bill Bruford, The Bruford Tapes Volume One (WFVP006CD)
Bill Bruford, The Bruford Tapes Volume Two (WFVP007CD)—these two are presumably an expanded re-release of the single LP The Bruford Tapes
Bill Bruford, The Essential Guide To Bill Bruford (WFVP008CD)—presumably a compilation
Bill Bruford's Earthworks, Heavenly Bodies (SFVP008CD)
Bill Bruford's Earthworks, A Part and Yet Apart(SFVP009CD)
Bill Bruford's Earthworks, The Sound of Surprise (SFVP010CD)
Bill Bruford's Earthworks, Footloose & Fancy Free (SFVP011CD)
Although omitted from the list, One of a Kind will also be re-released. Some bonus tracks are expected, but what and on what releases is not yet known. In the May 2004 interview, Bruford says, "I have one or two strange bits and pieces up my sleeve and a fair amount of recorded live stuff. [...] I do have some very exciting playing from the Bruford group". He goes on to suggest that live Bruford material could be included as bonus tracks on reissues.
I stole this off another site. I hope this thrills some of you. I'm stoked. ONE OF A KIND re-released with bonus tracks. Holdsworth fans should be happy. Word is IOU and METAL FATIGUE will also be re-released with bonus tracks.
Moraz/Bruford: MUSIC FOR PIANO AND DRUMS is extraordinary.
