Definitely not a fa,n of Glitter Rock (which is much more about songs than albums), but....

Desolation Blvd is a no-brainer, much like Roxy's For Your Pleasure was for the second glam albums poll.
let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

can't say I like anything here very much and a good number I'm therefore unfamiliar with... I'll hold my nose and go for Roxy Music...
Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Be-bop deluxe by a Yorkshire mileThumbs Up. Hunky Dory is my favourite Bowie lp (but i'm not a massive fan generally). Sparks 'Propaganda' has good songs on it and i remember 'Desolation Boulevard' as one of Sweet's better albums but again, not a big fan.

^^ ought to give B-bD another go some time and try and see what others do... always felt they were a bit too bubble-gum for my tastes, but I might yet be surprised...  otherwise, this Poll really is a wasteland for me..

Got my vote too.

Love David Bowie and I would say that that was my favourite Bowie album at least until Blackstar came out. Well, I’ve had a few Bowie favourites over the years but Hunky Dory has been a very special album to me.

Hunky Dory is definitely among my favorites of his. Legendary artist. Blackstar is glorious.

Bowie. They told me to bark into the washing machine, and I politely obliged.

Do, Modern music is one of the most sophisticated musically, along with Futurama and Live in the Air Age is a great live album. I like all Be-bop deluxe but appreciate its not for everyone.. many start with Sunburst Finish which i find is let down by its production and a couple of duff songs.

LOL this poll is funny (no offence Paul), there's a handful of great Art-pop-mildly prog albums floating in a sea of dross.. i mean, Rubettes, Mud, Bay city rollers, David Essex, Alvin Stardust, Glitter band.. phew and Yuk.. yes i do remember what it was like to be a pre-teen in early 70's UKDead

No offence taken. There's plenty more dross still to come, much of which I bought back in the 1970's.  Tongue
