I should have suggested this way sooner as A Lonely Sinner has been one of my favourite albums of 2024 since I first heard it in, I think, March. And I super like the EP which I only heard in full earlier today from 2024. Now with the AOTY poll coming up soon I would expect some people may be wanting to rush in submissions.

The only two albums I know are the studio album A Lonely Sinner (2024) and the untitled 2024 EP.

This is a favourite of mine off A Lonely Sinner (Storge):

I actually have not hears any of the releases prior to 2024, there were three previous studio albums before 2024, but methinks 2024 has had the most impact with the artist and I think would be most applicable to PA. Earlier music is I think more electronic. These are made in the bedroom DIY releases, and are all the more impressive for it. The artist is still very young, was 19 when A Lonely Sinner was released.

For the bio I have a specific name and birth date (born in 2004, hey I was regularly visiting progarchives by then) but I feel like "they" (preferred pronoun prefer some anonymity) for now I will be vaguer.

if approved I would like to be notified and add the artist myself, and I would improve on this.

Samlrc is a project by an experimental Brazilian artist born in 2004 who has made DO It Yourself music in their house and is influenced by Swans, Björk, Natural Snow Buildings and Low [note not for bio: all stuff I love] as well as by various post-rock and post-metal groups as well as Brazilian folk. Across the discography, the music has experimental, post-rock, folk, shoegaze, Indie and post-metal qualities. Despite the DIY attributes, and the artist only being 16, 2020's Things I'd Like to Forget went on to get significant notice and vinyl sales. It was in 2024 that samLrc because a big name with "hipsters" in certain corners of the internet, made more poplar by one of youtube's big name music reviewers giving it positive attention.

A comment I liked that I saw on reddit about The Lonely Sinner getting to number at RateYourmusic for 2024 ten months ago...

Looks like they'd be a better fit for Post/Math, so we'll check them out first. Looks very interesting, but the band name is so uninspiring I probably wouldn't have given them a second glance if it weren't for this thread. Will take you up on your offer for additional assistance if they clear.

Thank you, Gordy. I favoured post-rock, and then edited in the other in case.   It's an alternate artist name who gees with the pronoun "they", and this is the product of a teenager. The Sam is short for Samantha. It also acts as a Twitter name (I would say X, but damn Elon). Looking at the recent topics by people with usernames, rushfan4 strikes me as a pretty good tribute act name for the band FAN4 (think songs like "Fanadu"). It used to be a common expectation that a Special Collaborator adds an act that they suggested, but sometimes team members would kindly offer to add ones if that was an issue. A few helped me out by adding my suggestions as it does not come as easy to me as some others, you are a machine! (all your hard work is hugely appreciated), and I would get overwhelmed with my work (job).

EDIT: I don't think I'll be around to add it as I am going to be off-site, so if anyone else is willing to add it should it be approved, that would be wonderful. Thanks.
