Find out this song i heard over a year ago

I can't remember the beginning but the end I'll never forget...

looked up all the usual suspects for some time to no avail (moody blues, king crimson , genesis, Yes )

ending was slow and powerful rock power chords with strings/mellotron underneath

the song got powerful at the end very dramatic and cinematic a little esoteric sounding ( but not quirky )

crashing cymbals and a SINGLE WAH guitar note at the end of the phrase at the end (Extremely Key)

sounded Early to mid 70s...

Thank you very much

No audio sample, I assume ?   That's gonna be difficult from just a description.   Crashing cymbals, wahs, powerful chords--   hard to pin-down.

Early Wishbone Ash, maybe?
I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

Eloy - The Bells of Notre-Dame (from 1975's Power and The Passion)

Just about the most dramatic last track off an album I can think of and it's very slow. The keyboard player uses Mellotron among other instrument. It's also slow and very cinematic.

Hey everyone just want to say thanks for having me this is my first post here btw

you guys all sent me some interesting songs this has made me get more into 70s prog music...

however none of these song contain wah except for the last song

please keep in mind there are definitely strings and wah guitar and vocals, that i remember crystal clear

song i think started out mellow and got intense towards the ends the single note wah was loud and powerful over the strings or mellotron

there may be a reward for however finds this song because this has taken a lot of my own searching

thanks

This is probably not what you're looking for but it matches the description. There's wah, there's powerchords + Mellotron... ;)

It sounds to me like possibly "The Voyage" by The Moody Blues, except for the wah. Especially towards the end.

Gentle Giant's "Plain Truth" has a final wah at the big end, and violin/strings (though not mellotron).
