Hi Olivier,

I never knew that Asbjornsssen's great book was on-line!

I hope it will stay on-line because the Borderline site was taken off-line by Vernon joyhnson himself , maybe because he felt that the fact of having his books on-line was hampering sales> Borderline is the Editor of the Tapestry Of Delights (and other VJ books) and Asbjornssen books

let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

www.cuneiformrecords.com

A great label with not only classic RIO bands like Present and Univers
Zero, but they also do first class reissues, like Soft Machine and Matching
Mole, live sets of good quality. There are good written summaries of all
their artists with links to their respective websites.

here is an internet page that will appeal to all prog lovers :

The Artist Shop Logo

Now accepting PayPal!
paypal.jpg 2672 bytes

Also try the Artist Shop Jukebox

Welcome to The Artist Shop, a music store dedicated to the independent progressive artist putting out his/her own product. The items we display we buy directly from the artist or his/her own company. When you buy from these artists you can take pride in the knowledge that more of your dollar is going directly to the artist than when you buy from a mainstream, corporate, big business, big bucks, impersonal, conglomerate label. And that means you're investing in the future of these artists and their continued creation of new work.  It's also been pointed out to us by some artists that there are many independent progressive labels not owned by artists, but without which many independent progressive artists would go unheard. So you will also see  independent labels that we consider to 'have a mission!'

The Artist Shop is geared to the listening experience! After all, that's what music is all about. This site is loaded with RealAudio soundbites. Check out our Audio Page to see how to maximize your listening experience in The Artist Shop. Be sure you have the most recent version.

And, of course, don't forget to check out ordering instructions. We are proud to offer SSL Secure Transaction Processing for your safety and security in on-line ordering!

And if you have any suggestions for our site or know of artists who belong here, drop us a line and let us know about it. And as long as I'm being such a pest, please, please, please sign our guest book! It'll help us keep you up to date on new artists and new releases coming into the store and special events like artist IRC Chats. And have no fear. We have NO intention of giving, selling or sharing our list with anyone!

Catalog (text version)
For those who prefer just text or anyone who wants to print out our catalog.  We have three basic catalogs.

Import Text Catalog - Featuring the latest in general import releases.

Top 100 Titles - Forget Billboard!   Here's The Artist Shop's top sellers for the month and the year!

But if you want to browse around and discover new things, below is our directory of member artists and labels.  Each page is loaded with graphics, RealAudio soundbites and descriptions.  Want a sample? Just click on the spinning button for a sound sample from that page.
