I love my new streamer, though I hate it too, (including its limited physical storage capacity--am I ready to just dive into the world of the "cloud"?? No, not really). But today I dug out the ol' computer, stlll with nearly all my music on the HD, and pulled up a random list. Here's what popped to the top from about 14000 tracks:

Ain't waiting on this one: choosing Hatfield, barely over Zeppelin (though I like it much better in album context). Lovely fem. vocals, soft Canterbury feel. The Zeppelin is still one of my faves, though. The U2 track is excellent too. The Radiohead track sounds very Eno-ish to me, but isn't too bad.

Kid A is great so I wanted to vote for Radiohead but the chosen track, even though I like it a lot, could not beat the Hatfield & The North one.

Same here, underappreciated though "Treefingers" is in my opinion.

It was between Radiohead and U2 for me, but I have loved that U2 track longer, so it got my vote. Looks like whoever I voted for, I would have given their only vote. 🤪
It’s a pretty good selection, though. The only track that would never have had a hope of my vote is the Led Zep one. The other three are all good. But boy, oh boy, I love Boy, so I am very happy to have given my vote to the black cat. 🐈⬛ |

So is that one vote (at the time I'm writing this) yours?? I could have sworn someone voted for U2 yesterday (May 7) shortly after I posted the poll.

Yeah, that was me. But I didn’t have time to write the post at the time. Perhaps I should have waited until I had time to post as well as vote, but that’s not what I did. Sorry for any confusion caused. Edited by nick_h_nz - May 08 2022 at 10:21 |

Well..., because its Zeppelin, and its a great tune. I guess I'm not too surprised Hatfield's winning this poll (on a Prog website, anyway), but when I cast the first vote for H, I wasn't thinking they'd end up with more that twice as many votes!

Because Prog Archives is becoming Metal Archives (not referring to the Zep track, just generally)

I disagree, metal is still not that popular here on PA.
