Is it me, or is this the best Tull album since Heavy Horses? I can only hope Tull's next album (if there is to be one) will be as good as this. Let me know if you have any information on an upcoming album. Thank You.

Yeah!, The Christmas Album is a very good release, from the cover to the content! It demonstrates a new spring for Ian Anderson and for the band! BTW not better than the last two Ian's solo albums The Secret Language Of Birds (2000) and Rupi's Dance (2003). I don't have information about the upcoming album...I think we should wait a little because they have been busy for the release of the new 2005 Aqualung-Live album! Hope we'll soon know of other good effort! Best Regards! Andrea |

The Christmas album is great. I will start to play it about 6 weeks from now! It's not their best album since Heavy Horses. Crest of a Knave is better I think and I haven't even heard Roots To Branches yet. According to the Jethro Tull website www.j-tull.com there are no plans to release a new studio album at the moment. Ian Anderson is just too busy travelling the world playing with different musicians. Maybe Ian thinks that they have enough albums already so he'd rather spend his time doing more progressive things than albums? |

I'm going to buy this JT Christmas album and play it to my family. It may be the only way I can get them to listen to prog.

You're right goose, mind you I'm off on my summer hols next Friday and a couple of weeks after I get back we have our work Christmas party! Christmas starts early in the UK - we had our first Christmas catalogue through the post in early July! |

A splendid late entry from the mighty Tull, one of their best since the 70s and one of the very few Xmas albums that it's possible to listen to without a violent attack of nausea. Ebeneezer Scrooge himself would find it difficult to resist the festive spirit if he heard it - in fact, I'm surprised that ghost of Christmas future didn't make him listen to it - or maybe it's only a story?

Did you see Ian on the cover?
![]() But, yes, the Christmas album is a good one. But for me all the albums since Crest are good. Roots To Branches is maybe their best album IMO! Only the early 80's albums are not as good as they could be without so much synthesisers, drum machines etc. The Aqualung Live album is out in Europe. It's from a 2004 radio broadcast (XM Radio): the band played the whole album live for this show. So it's a new recording, not old stuff. People who visit a show in their current USA tour receive a free copy. Other US people have to wait until March I believe for the release. |

The Christmas album is the only Tull album I don't have - I was under the
impression that it was a bit of a compilation with old tracks re-worked etc. I guess I should pick it up for completion purposes. I wouldn't hold your breath for a new Tull album - IA seems to be concentrating on live work these days playing a mainly nostalgia setlist which is a shame. Cheers, Simon |
