Los Toms is an independent four-piece psychedelic rock band from Fort Collins, Colorado. Their current lineup consists of guitarists Jerel Teichroew and Casey Garrow, bassist Nately Dorlac, and drummer Giovanni Manwaring. They started their psychedelic journey with the release of their debut EP The Sticker (2019) and later delved deep into their psychedelic path with the release of their LP Centipede Sessions. They have now come up yet again with a pair of singles Baphomet and Black Magick Sludge Mage which are expected to appear on their upcoming LP releasing later this year.

My first impression after checking out the first 15 minute song on Centipede Sessions as well as reading the tags is that this band is definitely psychedelic but not really progressive.

These days psychedelic bands are a dime a dozen and we are only adding the most progressive of them.

Los Toms is listed as a psychedelic desert fuzz band and it's pretty much just jamming stuff with some effects.

I understand that's what a lot of old Krautrock is as well but it seems that the threshold for progressiveness has been raised.

Maybe Rivertree will see things otherwise.

Thanks for the suggestion!

^yep, agreed
there are hundreds of bands with a similar acid and fuzz psych attitude
sure, all have their relevance, but it's not prog, we can't add them
