What would you say is your favorite? Mine would have to be Wallenstein's Blitzkrieg album.

IV, Yeti, and Tahoe Mango are all very close.

I'll go the latter this time.

^Throw in NEU ‘75 and you’ve got my four faves
I voted for Faust as I have been spinning that frequently over the last few months.

Also just an observation: I’ve never considered Eloy or Wallenstein Krautrock. They’re more German hard-rock to these ears. Krautrock to me is like a San Francisco in the late 60s on steroids. Too weird to be funky and “loosely fitted”.

I was going to say the same exact thing about Eloy but just went with it, lol.

Eloy rules!

Yeti, but I wouldn't call Eloy "krautrock".
I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

Whether either Inside or Blitzkrieg is Krautrockin' enough (and I'd say that that Eloy album is still better suited to this than later ones), and I like those albums, I do still prefer the other albums. Faust today, but any of those could do.

If I were listed, then I think that Dom's Edge of Time would get my vote today. That and Brave New World's Impressions on Reading Aldous Huxley were the albums that really opened Krautrock up to me. Can took me quite a long time to really appreciate. Actually, I did get into Faust early on.
