I really love all of these albums, however Animals is simply perfection to my ears. The only album that could beat that in my books is Foxtrot by Genesis

This. While I don't dislike Animals it's probably not even in my top 3 PF albums. Maybe top 5 at around number 5. Relayer on the other hand is probably my favorite Yes album with CTTE being a close second.

Animals-despite it's cynical perspective, it stands as a really together album, one of Floyd's best.

All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.

He neither drank, smoked, nor rode a bicycle. Living frugally, saving his money, he died early, surrounded by greedy relatives. It was a great lesson to me -- John Barrymore

All four truly outstanding albums.
Animals does indeed seem impossible to top, but I have a very special place in my heart for Relayer. |

Animals and P&TG are 5 star albums Relayer and NC maybe 4.5 stars for me. I gave my vote to GG as it looks as they need it. Also that is my favourite album by them while Animals is my second favourite Floyd album after WYWH.

Animals, very closely followed by Relayer.
Then, Nursery Cryme and P&TG. |
