I have to say that Friede is a great stand-up comedian. she once told the joke of the Ploinkner at a party for about an hour, and everybody hung at her lips. here the short version of the joke: a man who has been without a job for years desperately seeks for a new job because he has to feed a wife and 6 children, so when he reads an ad in the local paper saying "Looking for a Ploinkner. We pay a fee of $1,000,000" he applies for the job, is told what he has to do and agrees. so on a certain date he climbs up a rope ladder with 1000 rungs up to a platform in front of an audience that cheers him on. when he arrives at the platform he jumps down - ploink yeah, I agree, not much of a joke, but Friede turned this into an epic with TV-stations fighting for the broadcasting rights, an international crisis almost leading to nuclear war because the USA refused to have the event broadcasted in Russia and finally God and his angels as well as the devil and his cohorts attending, with the story taking all kinds of unexpected twists and turns. it was all completely improvised and incredibly funny, and everyone marveled at her wild imagination

Yes, I enjoy the comedy of Steven Wright. |

No, I know how to behave in the restaurant now, I don't tear at the meat with my hands. If I've become a man of the world somehow, that's not necessarily to say I'm a worldly man.

Bill Burr Sebastian Maniscalco Nate Bargatze Don Rickles Bill and SM were both better before they got married. They seem to be a bit too relaxed these days, but they still amuse me.

Steven Wright, George Carlin, Richard Pryor, Whoopi Goldberg, Robin Williams, Jim Carey (esp in In Living Color), Tracy Ullman, Lenny Bruce, Steve Martin, David Letterman, Sid Cesar, Carol Burnett, Bob Newhart, Johnny Carson, The Smothers Brothers, Dick Van Dyke & Mary Tyler Moore, Mort Sahl and Jonathan Winters. I'm sure I'll think of more. So many other great comedic actors/writers etc over the years, but all of these also did stand up.

I knew someone would EVENTUALLY name Mort Sahl in a prog site. I found out very early that there are many great movie tastes in here as well. Do you watch Mort on Thursdays? The only guy (besides Mort) I could talk about Mort died (Paul Krassner).

Yes, I know another person who knew Paul Krassner. I remember him, of course, but didn't know him personally. I was unaware of the Mort of Thursays?

My favorite comedians are all unfortunately dead; so none of them stand up anymore.

Goodness! Probably the best, the dirtiest and the funniest thing I have EVER seen, was Richard Pryor and Redd Foxx who did a bunch of shows together, which I think were totally improvised ... and on this particular night ... you will never discuss again __________________________ ... because it was insane, and it did not stop, to the point where I had to go outside for 5 minutes! Other than that, I miss PC and DM together. I miss Sam Kenniston (spelling). And a handful of characters that I loved dearly ... PC and DM might not be considered "stand-up", but that was how they started, more or less, and their material was crazy. And the greatest highlight of their material can probably be found in the film, BEDAZZLED, the original one ... I also miss Peter Sellers ... who was not a "stand-up" comedian, but his albums, were just like a "stand-up" thing ... insane comedy bits and some songs ... totally off everything you can think of. Spike Milligan, maybe, but he is not known as a "stand-up" guy, but he did "stand-up" with children by the hundreds and thousands ... and it was funny, and fun to listen to ... just the stories ... what a mind! Lastly, and needs to introduction ... Robin Williams

My personal recommendation would be to tune into ‘Vote The Hell’, an amazingly original political satire on Watcho App if you want to watch some rib-cracking stand up comedy. Watch hilarious digs by ace stand up comedians like Sundeep Sharma, Ravi Gupta, Ankita, Vignesh, and many more. Visit https://www.watcho.com/list/vote-the-hell/k-337261_3230 to ROFL.
