Hey, this sounds like a crazy idea, but it would be a fun project. Get Mike Patton from Fantomas and Ron Thal from Bumblefoot  to do an album of Frank Zappa covers.  If you could give thumbs up to a current artist to cover Zappa, wouldnt these guys do a good job, or maybe there is someone better?  Do you have any dream projects for artists?  You guys know this guitarist Thal? Hes very creative on the guitar and we all know about Patton! A Fantomas insane cover of Dirty Love!

I'm not familiar enough with Zappa to give much input to the discussion, but I know that Bumblefoot played on the latest Freak Kitchen album. I haven't heard that one but the three I do own are superb, a kind of amalgamation of crazy tech guitar parts, weird musical fusions (samba and bluesgrass with a dildo played through a guitar pickup, anyone? ) and modern pop rock (hell, even pop punk!). Their third album which is self-titled is particularly good, so long as you can cope with the commercial rock sound of the verses. I'd love to hear Mattias Eklundh do a bit of Zappa - I gather he's quite into his music anyway.
