I just got the remastered "Interview" album by GG and I'm wondering if I got the defective version. It really sounds like a record and nothing like the sound quality of the other remasters. Did I get the defective version or is the sound quality of "Interview" just permanently sh*tty? Could you tell me some things to listen for to be able to tell whether it's the defective version or not? Thanks

The defective version had something to do with the right channel ONLY being mastered- the entire left channel was left out. It was only produced in mono. You can do an A/B test to confirm it, but otherwise, I think you would just have to be familiar with the original album to tell.....Interview will have a September re-release.

But if it is the defective version you have, you can send it back to DRT and you will be sent another signed by Derek Shulman.

How do you do an A/B test?

Really I just want to know whether the corrected version of the album lacks the sound quality of the other remastered albums, like a live album. My CD sounds like a completely unremastered album, a demaster, if you will ().

You're all bastards! Every last one of you! (besides Arsillus)

I thought my demaster joke would surely draw in the crowds...

PLEASE, someone answer me!
