   Okay, so first off, some historical context is needed - I highly recommend watching this video giving the history of the group's formation and how video game music became more of an art form during the era 
As for tracks to listen to make a case, well, here's two live performances - one from the original group, and one from Blind Spot, to get my point across that the arrangements here are absolutely progressive rock songs
