Jerry Berkers : Unterwegs (1972 / ohr)

Singer Songwriter Folkrock album from the former Wallenstein bassist and collaborator
in the early Cosmic courier sessions.

1. Jeder Tag sieht ganz anders aus 5.38
2. Glaub mir, Susanne 3.20
3. Es wird morgen vorbei sein 4.15
4. Dafur lebe ich nur 4.39
5. Grauer Bettler 3.41
6.
Ich Klage An 4.26
7. Gelobtes Land 3.08
8. Seltsam 5.04

The music here can be considered as an original mix between Jerry Berkers previous collaborations. Consequently this is an album made for acoustic instruments, percussions with subtle keyboards parts. For the occasion, J. Berkers invited many of his friends and musicians with whom he had participated to several works for the Pilz / Kosmische Kurrier labels (Jurgen Dollase, Witthuser & Westrupp…). The compositions are melodic, moody with a few complex progressive sounds, structured short songs. The album was dedicated against the war in Vietnam as suggest the lyrics.

Similar artists: Mythos, Witthuser & Westrupp, Hoelderlin, Wallenstein

I know only the third track'Es wird morgen vorbei sein' from a sampler. The track didn't convinced me . A lot of the Pilz/Ohr records have recently been re-released.  I have to see if I find this one and give him a second chance.
Tadpoles keep screaming in my ear
"Hey there! Rotter's Club!
Explain the meaning of this song and share it"

it isn't a masterpiece at all but it is a must for krautrock completists who are into the golden era of the genre
