I don't know which one to vote for, but "They didn't know they were robots" reminds me of an Asimov short story (actually, I don't remember if they knew they were robots in the story, but it was a time traveller to the future where, or something of the sort, in which in the end the population happened to be only robots that had inherited the human culture and looked just like humans... or something like that, it's been a long time I read it). Oh well, it surely sounds a lot like some characters on the 00's version of Battlestar Gallactica too.
Oh, and I think "Machine Messiah" is missing from song titles for this thread. Perhaps also something from Alan Parson's "I Robot" album.
