i reely think that this is a top priority band to be entered into the archives, with the recent addition of the dillinger escape plan, it only seems fitting to include this one as well.

rubbish.  they're not prog at all.  doesn't mean to say they're not a good band, but they are NOT prog.

Peeps should think about the likes of Cave In before they consider Converge.

No way. Good hardcore, farthest from prog you can get. I dont agree with DEP's addition either, good grindcore, not prog.

I don't agree with a several of the groups here including The Dillinger Escape Plan and I know Converge doesn't belong here.  Even if it's an archive of music that progresses in their songs and sound and not an archive of just music that has a prog sound do it, Converge still wouldn't belong.
Coalinga knows how to party.

Converge are not prog, end of story.

yes they're a new breed of hardcore, and some say they're math-core or whatever, but balls are they prog.
