   Holy Spam, Batman!

Yes, I've noticed it too - once we lifted the 5-post ladder group, the spam came rushing in again, much to our dismay. I'm reluctant to reinstate the ladder group because it can be real pain for us, the admins, and you, the users, to understand that there's that extra step in creating new threads.

Lucky for us, there's another tool that we can use to try to stop spam on the forum. WebWizForums (this forum software) has StopForumSpam, which is a database of known spam IPs, emails, and usernames, baked right in. I've implemented it for now, and I'll be monitoring how it works.

If you happen to be a real person who's been mistakenly blocked, please email [email protected] and I should be able to manually let you register.

Hopefully this works - and thank you to all the members who have been diligently flagging spam! It helps us get rid of it easily and efficiently.
