The crappy beer that plagues college has diminished my opinion of beer.  I always thought it was cool how beer is basically liquid bread though.  Speaking of which I ate half a loaf of bread today and that was probably my greatest achievement in a week.

That's like condemning progressive rock after listening to Spock's Beard's first album.

I used to enjoy that album.  Well at least parts of it, I did find it incredibly lame though.  I'm not sure if I'd like it now, haven't really listened to neo/new symphonic prog in a long time.  Some of it is good but it seems the lyrics and/or vocals are always cheesy.

I don't give out 1 star too often, but that album would get it.  Odd, because I have their sophomore effort as well and it's so much better for me, not that I've listened to it anytime in the recent past.

Also I would have made Torman Maxt my example, except that a.) I've never heard it, and b.) it's become way too much of a cliche 'round these parts.

I've never heard them, but I feel kind of bad for those guys since they: 1) have their album for free, 2) obviously care about what they do, and 3) everyone makes fun of them.  I mean I don't like preachy music, but I don't loathe it either.  Existential and beat lyrics are the coolest, but usually I'm too focused on music itself to pay much attention to lyrics.

I don't pay attention to lyrics.
Really, their music overall just kinda sucked.
I heard one song, that was enough.

And they paid for everyone here to stab them.

Yes, but it's back online now.

I was the first person to review the Maxt album and then they were the featured artist a couple of months later and I was all like, "aww shiiiiiiiiittt"

No, I made mine waaaay before. There's a thread floating around the CZ that has a screenshot of my original review in it which would have the date - I just know that it was my first 1-star review and the date of original posting would be in that screencap.

Ohh, I see now.

BTW, does SC grant you anything really special at all other than being able to add bands?
Or is just an excuse to have another place in PA to post more garbage?LOL

I always figured it would too much of a pain in the butt to be a SC for me, considering I already work 3 genres anyway.

First and foremost I do interviews - then teamwork and I still love to review. I'm a team rookie though . I still think they gave me the 5th star by accident

You don't deserve that 5th star anyway.
You're just a reviewer, really
