If you look at the number of replies, seems like we definitely needed it. And it's an excellent thread.

I hope exactly the contrary. We're in the modern world now, no need for patriarchal institutions, thank you. Smile

The thing about this thread is that it's personal. It's not just saying 'wats ur fav riverside song' or something, it's something that actually MEANS something to people. I wish more threads were like this.

Why would rubbing one's genitals against another person mean anything to anyone? Confused

I would be delighted if my children were still virgins by the time of marriage. It is the sensible thing in a world of pain and broken relationships. When you give yourself to someone sexually it is for life! Virgin is not a dirty word. Please, save yourself for your life partner, it is worth it.

Clap Seconded! I have always been glad to be one wife's husband.

16. Was not some earth-shattering moment. Just happened. Wasn't until I met my wife-to-be 3 years later that intimacy became a very special thing.

Yeah, it's a myth that older people listen to Prog more.

Must be. That's good news, though. Means that more future generations will keep Prog alive.

That is if they don't remain virgins for eternity !

I am shocked reading this.
The last thing you want is to release young adults in the world with suppressed sexual feelings.

A first sexual contact is stressful enough. No need to put extra pressure on it.

19 for me by the way.

I'm not sure now whether I was 19 or 20 - thereabouts.  I didn't really lose it so much as give it away.  I wonder if there is a correlation between a love of prog and sexual confidence (lack of).  I'm sure on a Rap or R&B appreciation site the average age of virginity loss would be lower.

If you get someone pregnant or get some crazy STD, that might mean something. Stern Smile
