again, I don't understand what your point is. What does Nick need to know? That I feel attacked by Paul? Nothing new here...

There you go again, pretending to be offended when no offence was ever intended - not from me anyhow.

I'm pretending? Like you don't bait and create drama and love it. Let's move on. I don't know what was the point of David's post nor is it relevant to this thread. Let's move on...

^ You weren't the only one who was in a Land of Confusion over David's latest post, so maybe he'd care to enlighten us.

You know Cristi, I'm only here because it's Sunday evening, Sue's gone to bed and I'm sat on the sofa listening to Tiles.. (or maybe I shouldn't mention them because Paul will only try to introduce us to a Yt vid of their music... )

Don't worry, I'm not going to try and introduce you to a band I've never even heard of.

Okay, just to show that I DO follow your sage advice - especially when it comes to Metal - I've now happily deleted all of the following Progressive Metal bands from my listings, which sadly includes Dream Theater, but happily includes Dimmu Borgir and Opeth, who I'll never be tempted to listen to again. The only Progressive Metal band remaining is my all-time favourite, Ayreon, so it remains Actual Fantasy if you think I'm going to delete Ayreon too. Deleted Progressive Metal Bands:- Allen-Lande The Beyond Beyond Twilight Blind Guardian Circle II Circle Circus Maximus Conception Dimmu Borgir Dream Theater Evergrey Fates Warning Haken Magnus Karlsson Mastodon Opeth |

And because of your unusual insistence on listening to complete discographies from beginning to end, you miss out on albums that you might well enjoy by both Opeth and Dimmu Borgir and that may be relevant to the topic (I still think Eonian for instance by Dimmu Borgir is on the Symph Metal side).
Maybe you alresyd explained, but why do you choose to listen to music that way? Did you also listen that way before you started making video channels and youtube playlist type things? I had wondered before if your primary purpose in being here was to promote your youtube channels and playlists (I don't think so, but it does make up an awful lot of your posts, and there is even replication, like when you did Jane you didn't edit in the albums to keep the playlists to one post -- that would have made the thread more easily followable/ readable, otherwise it starts to feel like they're just being bumped and it makes it harder to follow the topic from beginning to end -- like David says, quality over quantity, which is not something I'm good at when it comes to posting or making lists). |

Yes, I always listen to entire discographies from beginning to end, especially when making YouTube playlists, but when it comes to buying CD's, I just buy whatever's available at a charity shop or car boot sale at the time. I used to buy a lot of CD's from the FOPP record store in Nottingham too until they closed down a couple of years ago. By the way, none of the YT playlists on my Krautrock thread are mine. They're all pre-existing playlists that I just happened to come across when I was searching for the relevant albums.
