Don't do medicine Joel, it sucks. Unless you really love it and you're not interested in having a personal life.

I got all the answers right, but it still seems ridiculous that this is being used as the only neccessary testing for those who succeed.

Eh, I am pretty sure your grades still count. I don't know why you think that a good test score will be enough, and I don't live in Australia, but I do not see any good med schools accepting someone who was too lazy to get above a C in high school just because he's smart. That person is not going to graduate and the school has wasted their time on him.

I do agree that it sucks, though. We have that standardized test fascism in the US too and I want them to go away (even though standardized tests are one of the few things I'm actually good at). Those visual logic puzzles are stupid, though. I've never been able to understand wtf is going on with those.

No, it's something you know if you understand grammar and know what the word apprehensive means.

Gah, PA was being retarded with quotes.

For the first time this year, I am actually excited to take the classes that I have registered for.
And I'm for sure going to Spain this summer.

I don't understand.

There's no experience necessary to understand it. I don't really know how much else to explain it because the sub-text of "The doctor tried to soothe his emotions with an obvious statement but did not actually help with his concern" and "The guy is still going to be nervous (I hope you know that apprehensive means nervous, test taker!) about it" is very obvious to me.

Edit: I did want to do medicine for like 10 years, although I gave up because outside of UMAT (which I had never even heard of until yesterday) you need to be one of the top 5% scoring in your state/6-7 years at uni/6-7 years of internship. With this it's a 3 year course+3 years of internship, and the doctor who told me about it yesterday said that some unis here also give free lodging for UMAT students.

I'm not sure what you are talking about with the second part, but the first made me lol. It takes over a decade to become a doctor. Being a nurse is a more plausible goal for a short term job, since you can get in with just a 2 year degree and those are a lot less expensive. Being an RN would be better for a career, but that is going to incur a lot more costs and so would require more time in the field to make up for it.

I couldn't choose between 1b+2D and 1C+2A, it's not obvious at all. These communication situations are very complex in reality and I'd need more info to handle it properly.

Man, that was so good I want to listen to it again. Mar Hollis's solo album, I mean.

It's not C because the guy's concern was his physical ability to take care of her, which the doctor did not address at all. His emotional support would only be helpful if the guy had an emotional problem with the situation, like she was going to be really annoying or something.

We will be singing Friday for another year.

Yeah, I know that's the interpretation for 1B+2D.

I might find time this Friday and Saturday to work on the song I currently am. I'm so busy I don't get a chance to brainstorm much.

On the plus side of things, since I'm wroking a lot I'm going to buy a mixer soon. I'm not positive but I think I want a hardware sequencer or drum machine, because software is latent and computery, and annoying.

Ooh, congratz on having a job. That's good. I liked the piece you shared but didn't post there because I didn't know what to comment on it.
