I love grasses and open meadows, my favorite place to unwind.  Even in early spring before the green comes back, I love the "dead" colors just as much. 

Steven, JD, if you have any great shots of grasses I'd love to see them.

That stuff was everywhere when I was young.  I occasionally see it along roads but not as much.  Very evocative to memories....do you know what it's called?  That last image you posted?
