Wow Dean! You looked scary back then! Or mysterious...I can't chooseLOL

Great pic though. Fun to compare with your most recent snap shot. Still pretty obvious it's the same guy - now only more mature and sophisticatedTongue ("Mature student"?LOL That sounds contradictory to these ears.)

I've only once had to change my appearance in order to "fit in" better, and that was back when I had my black bullring piercing. Scared the living daylights out of my grandmother, so I had to remove it before I'd even think about attending her 70th birthday.
Never had to change anything about myself in regards to jobs and education. Then again, I look like a proper gorilla in a suit, so I'm rather chuffed about that.

Also: Dean. If you still got that Bowie badge, I'd pay at least a quid for it, maybe threeBig smile

Ah, yes, well, you know how it is... swarthy young man from the sticks venturing to the big city for a taste of university life discovers that the 'eligible' female population of the campus (while being 5 times more populace than the entire population of the village he grew up in), had to a woman decided unanimously (by some hitherto unspoken secret ballot) that he was just a little too mysterious and just a fraction too scary. Faced with the dilemma of either staying mysteriously scary but lonely or buying a razor and a comb, allowed his hormones to chose the course he should follow.... Non, rien de rien, non, je ne regrette rien...

I would imagine the Bowie badge still exists in a box somewhere in the attic, not that I'd ever be able to find it, I could make another one, it was only black paint and white Letraset.
What?

Ahh yes. The good old hormonal persuasion. I've been down that road before, mostly because of my beard trying to communicate with my chest. Beards are never 'in' when I've got oneOuch  Or maybe it's just the Russian bear hunter look I get...

Ahh so you made the badge yourself? You're quite the handyman Dean. I wish I was more like that (my ex girlfriends probably think so too). I paint and draw a lot, but genuinely making something tangible with some form of use? Nahh....better off handing a monkey the tool belt.

Edit: Scratch that. Maybe I could make a badge like that.....well maybe not the badge itself, but I could buy one and paint the sucker!

Nah you should probably just go make some more of these. I like the trippy 'hole' effect you've got going. Almost gets three dimensional. Cleaning is only fun when you're drunk anyways.

To fully embrace this style though, you would have to get some measles.

Well, that should be rather... difficult now for obvious reasons.

If you look carefully at my posture you'll deduce it's unlikely I was lying down: on my honour, I swear I was climbing, and I also swear there were relatively good holds there. However...
