Okay, here it is:
Yanni - In My Time.
This is actually a gem. He mostly plays acoustic piano and this doesn't have the bombastic stuff that he slays people with, just some nice atmospherics. It is an amazing, beautiful CD. If you like keyboards then this one is a must!!! I used to have some other Yanni stuff way back when and either sold it or threw it out, then I heard this on the radio and it blew me away. Go buy it and hide it under the pillow, but seriously, this CD is excellent.

It must be "Pan Flute plays International Greatest Hits"...![](smileys/smiley19.gif)
It's one of my mother's 3 CDs, and it is BOOOOOOORING to death; those maya, or inca, or aztec people, they thought they could play everything on that damn flute... ![](smileys/smiley7.gif)

I used to have this horrible compilation of second rate italian love songs performed by second rate singers and musicians. It consisted of 2 CD's and only cost 5 euros. Thus I ended up buying it, about three years ago, I think, and gave the first disc one spin, then never touched the compilation again. Some time ago I simply threw it away as it just ended up taking space in my CD shelf. I was too embarrassed to even consider taking it to a second hand CD shop...
edit: I only read the first post in this thread after I had made my original post so will give this another try...
The CD that would probably be considered embarrassing in a progger's collection but which I honestly still like to listen to every now and then is...
"New Jersey" by the one and only Bon Jovi
Call it nostalgia for those wonderful teenage years... lol

Bassie & Adriaan - 16 zotte liedjes
Imagine a very old circusclown and an acrobat (his slightly younger brother) going into a studio, writing and performing music with the use of a Casio keyboard. Still, very appropriate to play sometimes (inbetween the more complicated prog experiences, kind of like a musical brain reset).
Should they be in PA? Maybe, since it is keyboard oriented and the vocal style of Bassie is quite unique at least .

I will never get rid of any CDs that I bought and don't like anymore. When I'm an old man I want to be able to look at and hear all the music I used to like.
As for most embarrassing CDs...I have a few Cradle of Filth albums that I'll listen to from time to time.

Geri Halliwell - Schizophonic. Do I get the "most embarrassing" award for that one?

There´s no album I´m embarassed for. I can listen to any kind of music.
Really, any kind. I may not like it all but I sure take a minute to pay attention. I´ve listened with joy mainstream modern POP, 80´s pop, classic rock, heavy metal, thrash metal, speed metal, alternative rock, classical music, electronic music, house, Jazz, Fusion, cumbias (tropical, very simplistic and crappy latin music), oldies from the 50´s and 60´s, Boleros (old style adult oriented music from Latinamerica)....You name it.
I have news for you. Prog is not the only enjoyable genre in the world.

Well, I don't really get embarrassed about CDs I still actually own, and I suppose if I were fashion-conscious enough to feel embarrassed about music - then my most embarrassing possessions would be the prog rock collection. I mean, I love it all, but it's all so hideously uncool. Not that I mind at all, but the whole idea about being embarrassed by music is based upon the condition that othe people can laugh at you for owning it, and seeing as most people don't like prog rock and all its whimsical English silliness I will have to nominate my entire prog collection.

Slipknot. Certainly progressive isn't it?! When will we see them in the archives? They're such a nice bunch of lads. ![](smileys/smiley2.gif)
