i don't quite agree, complex - yes, original - no, simplicity can also be original, and pink floyd were rather good at it (bar the last three albums) and complexity can easily be boring.

Until "Animals" I'd say no, they're not boring. But some endless Water's outlets on The Wall and The Final Cut are utterly unbearable to me

By the way, my more specific opinion is that Pink Floyd have some very good, interesting material but on the other hand they have a massive amount of material that is boring.


I definately agree with your specific opinion and would thus vote boring too, if it weren't for the sheer excellence of Pink Floyd's finest (earlyer) work. Latter Floyd became yes, plain boring and less and less good. This sort of thing (as you of course know alredy) often happens to great bands.

boring and a real downer for the most part, with notable exceptions, where they are not boring but still a real downer.  In other words, they are always a downer, so that would have been my question for a poll, but I won't bother now.  LOLThat's why I don't like them much, and prefer many so-called clones

Floyd is great.... the polls are what are boring.... 

I think they hit rock bottom... scraped the bottom of the barrel with Nick Mason's best drumming performance.  LOL  I think they've all been done... multiple times.
