To simply keep asking is not what lead to the inclusion of Metallica ... if people drew that conclusion from the Metallica inclusion, they're sadly mistaken.Wink

Stratovarius

Prog Metal Chart: Rejected

If the fact that this band has not just 3, BUT A WHOLE 10 no votes to their (as well as an "unsure" vote) name doesn't mean anything to people, please blow my brains out with a 12 gauge shotgun, because the fact that people keep bumping this thread every month or so is really starting to get on my nerves.
Seriously, the PMT has PROG METAL bands that need taking care of.
I kindly request that this topic stop being bumped, because it's not going to go anywhere.
I'm not changing my mind on this band, nor is any other PMT member, so just give it a goddamn rest, christ sake.
We currently have a backlog of 82 bands that have actually been approved and cleared for addition and we are working our asses off to get that done.
If anyone would like to help us get that done, that's great, but please, let us do our work without being hassled every month or so about a band we are never going to add.

^Actually, the last Sonata Arctica album, UNIA, was very related to prog-metal....if their career had been more like that, my vote would be different

If I'm honest personally, I didn't agree with Metallica's addition. Or Iron Maiden and Nightwish for that matter. Now Stratovarius? What's next, Dragonforce? I'm sick of all this pussy metal trying to invade the archives and their fans thinking they are progressive just because they merge metal and melody... Even the brutal band Nile are more progressive and experimental than Stratovarius, and I wouldn't consider them a worthy Archives addition. Seriously, if you take a great look at all the bands in the Tech/Post/Experimental/Progressive Metal genres on here, you will soon find that Stratovarius are nothing like them. Just a typical power metal band. This isn't MelodicMetalArchives for crying out loud, give the staff some f**king space!
