Not much of a game using a simple binary search - in 72 pages you can locate a page with a mistake in 6 moves, then locate the erroneous post in 4 moves. Once you've got the first one the next require fewer moves . I'm not going any further with it because this game thread is riddled with mistakes.

I did copy from the previous post, and the previous post (and post prior to that) was wrong, so I amended my post.  Wink

Silly errors tend to ruin things for me, particularly games on an Internet forum.

Well, we have 17 more points than we ought to. If it will make Rob happy, why not just subtract 1 point from every band, and take the remaining seven from the seven bands that have been in the poll the longest?

Like so:

...because some of extra points are for bands that are no longer on the list so the wrong artists are being penalised. Also, I'm not so convinced the 17 point deficit is real - I think it's more likely 3 points - I suspect the total score should be 180 and someone's forgotten to add a band to the hall of shame.

Your total is 199 - the previous totals were 200, the missing score occurs in your post - the silly mistakes do happen in Andy's post and are partly corrected by yourself and Jon but not completely.
