Nice.
If I follow a career of applied computing at the National Institute of Space Research I can earn about a million reais per year, which is about $650,000. I'll need a Master's degree in order to get a job there though.
What the hell? I have a Master's degree. Better start learning Portuguese.

I look at it as I'm not going deaf as fast as I would with loud music. Moderately loud music is fine.
You know you're a metalhead when it has to be played loud to enjoy it.
You know, I "became" a metalhead during my late teens, untill then I only listened to classical music and some jazz, so you can't say I only like loud music.

Good luck, it's pretty damn hard to get accepted.
I would imagine so. Amazing, I assume this is a government position? There's no possibility of a government employee in the US earning anywhere near that amount.

Yup, government position. I exaggerated the payment a bit but all the benefits such as free health-care, internet, funds for buying stuff as suits and other useless sh*t (yes, the government pays that for you if you're a privileged government employee) sum up to that amount.

Well, the US isn't trying to counterspy other nations ATM, so I don't believe so. One of the reasons why this position is so damn well paid is because of the constant life threat they have to deal due to CIA agents either making them disappear or exploding our rockets wile scientists try and make it work.
No f**king lie; it has happened at least three times in scales so big that even the national media reported.
that + the ridiculous amounts of benefits that high-end state employees have and tehre you go.
BTW Snow Pat you never know.....to be an entry level toll worker (yeah the people who sit in the booth on the highway) it starts at 60K which is almost double what I've seen with some corporate jobs!
Surely you've heard the stories of similar sh*t were people after 30 years are working like 30 hours a week and making $100K a year for the post office or sanitation whatever :O
I know a kid who's been working at a supermarket for 7 years now and is earning the same/more than people he knows with master degrees and a "good" job. Maybe it is time to give up after all!
