Beacons
Jupiter
Marrow of the Spirit
Valley of Smoke
Anthropocentric
Path to Hocma
At the Edge of Time
The Final Frontier
Spiral Shadow

Are all in the running. There are also a bunch of others I have that probably don't have a chance for top 5, but I need to listen anyway for due diligence. And they are good none the less.

Oh!  Did your CD copy of Path to Hocma come yet?

And those were just the ones contending for spot #5, lol.  Still a bunch of other good albums that I have and a ton I still need to buy too.

new Agalloch is not only their best, but by far the best metal album of 2010

Shocked
Whaaaaa?

And yeah, I can pretty much say Marrow of the Spirit and Jupiter are locked for the top 5. And Marrow is a front runner for best.

I haven't heard a 2010 album yet, I want a bunch but I'm too lazy.

From the Danny Carey vs Brann Dailor thread, this music is unbelievably bad.

It's 4am JJ and I, KILL YOURSELF

I think with more listens, Marrow of the Spirit might become my favorite of theirs as well.

I agree, that jam session was pretty bad.

Wow Henry, seems a bit harsh.
But you are killing yourself with me?

Aiight lets do this, but if you pussy out I'll haunt you unmercifully.

God damn it Henners you would never like their music to begin with! They are good drummers but that video was appallingly bad.

Of course I would be killing myself with you! And I do know that's not what their music normally sounds like, I'm not a fan of either but I know they're a lot better than that. I was so overcome by how horrible that video was I had to comment, and I couldn't do it in the thread because then I'd be getting like Walter.

True story.
And I was in shock when you said "I dont really like that Tool song" because that implied you like others!?

And how should we do this man? Death my Mastodon crushing? And I do mean the extinct animal.

I was in McDonald's (I hate the food but I was hungry and I had a COUPON they sent me in the mail), and as I was eating and drinking Coke, CNN was on the TV, and they had a several minute f**king live report from Australia about Oprah's Australia trip she gave away to some fans, they were apparently going to meet that night at the Sydney Opera House, which for that day will be renamed the Oprah House. I sat there and I realized that this is what's wrong with America, McDonald's, Coke, CNN, and Oprah. And I am part of it. After that, they were playing something about the No Labels group that just started with all the star power of some campaign fundraising and pundit thugs, and not one of the people on CNN had the courage to say that the statements from No Labels are meaningless.

Why weren't Fox running this story?  Seeing as they're run by Aussie Rupert Murdoch now...

Hmm.

No, I said I really don't like that Tool song. I am sloppy with my adverbs, I know, but there is a difference. :P  I have an extremely nuanced hate gradient, there are Tool songs I dislike less. And I don't even hate Mastodon, I just don't care much about metal. I am annoyed, though, that the last track of Blood Mountain was listed as 22 minutes on PA, I was super disappointed there was no epic at the end when I got it from the library years ago. I should probably listen to that again, my tastes have changed vastly since then.

I would rather be impaled by a unicorn.

Hmm.

I don't know or care about Fox's coverage of the issue, CNN was what was on the TV.

And as we know, I am not a fan on Mastodon's piece of Jesus they made Crack the Skye.
Blood Mountain was cool.
First 2 are best.

it was like, 19 minutes of silence and then a crappy 3 minute "hidden track"

It's very easy actually. I don't think I've drank any sodas in two years already and I don't miss them.

I have them rarely now.  There was a time not long after I moved out that my room was full of empty Cola bottles.  It was getting on my nerves.  So I stopped buying it.

The only time I have it now is if I'm down the pub, or I need a drink in town.

But your McDonalds has televisions in it?

The Yates bar I go into occasionally does but that usually has either Sky News or BBC News on.  Plus a few random music videos of terrible artists with small tits.

Not when you're driving, it's not.

That reminds me, I need to find 4 Seasonal Beers for tomorrow night as my mate's having a Beer Festival at his house.  Mmm.

I ate mostly at pubs when I was in England, the real restaurants were far too expensive, and they always seemed to resent me for only getting water.

Most restaurants of any kind do not have TVs, but for some reason the McDonald's around here have CNN. It probably doesn't extend to the rest of the US, Northern Virginia is a very affluent area. The bars here also have TVs for sports and whatnot, but we don't really have the concept of a pub in the US.
