Smile Attaboy, I don't mean to be a pain, but did you know that is a VERY common spelling error? Wink

GeekThere is no "would of" (which makes no sense, grammatically)  -- you meant "would HAVE," but wrote "would of" because that's how the contraction of "would have," (WOULD'VE) sounds. (OF is actually the only word in the English language where an F sounds like a V!)

Maybe I would've bought a cat, if I (& my daughter too) wasn't allergic to them! Wink

SmileThere's a great Neil Gaiman story (in his terrific Sandman comics series) in which a cat tells his fellow felines how they used to be big, while humans were tiny. The cats preyed upon the humans, and enslaved them, until the humans... but read it yourself (and be glad your cute widdle kitty isn't huge -- or that you're not the size of a mouse)! Shocked

Great story -- great fantasy, that series.Thumbs%20Up
This Egyptian goddess (Bast) also shows up in one story:
SmileI'm sure you cat lovers know how much the ancient Egyptians venerated cats (?)

^ LOL Believe me, Shakey, I ignore at least 99% of the errors I see here -- especially if it seems English is not the poster's first language. Was I insulting? I really tried hard not to be. Don't we often point out when others are mistaken in other matters? Attila might just appreciate knowing of the error, why it's so common, and how to avoid it. (I hope.)Ermm

I'm trained to spot such things -- it's a very large part of what I do for a living. I habitually scan all writing, everywhere, for errors. It's hard for me to ignore -- but I don't mean to be mean! Embarrassed

I'm starting, however slowing, to develop this curse gift, too.

And 'twas merely senseless humour afore.

I believe Bast is also called Bastet... which is very close to the most common name given to our cat Baggins when he lands on the bed at 3 in the morning

Quick, Dean. Edit to "a look of total..." (or "the look of total...") instead of "it look of total" before Peter comes! ShockedLOLWink

I miss my Shani...Cry
I miss having a cat...Cry
I hate being rejected by my parents to have a cat (of course, a kitty at first) because we have couches she would shred to pieces and so...Cry

Peter doesn't frighten me LOL - I'm sure he can tell the difference between a brain moving faster than the fingers first thing in the morning and plain old 'bad' grammar Wink

For years we put off buying a leather couch/sofa/settee for fear of our 3 cats ripping it to shreds, but as the springs gave up on the old one we finally scummed and so far they haven't even bothered with it.
