This man owns a Bogner Ecstasy.
This means this man has practically owned every one else in this thread.
Those amps are soooooooooooooooo insanely good.
Easily the best piece of guitar amplification anyone on Progarchives owns to date, surely.

It depends on what kind of music you plays, isn't it? ;)

Well, perhaps, but the general consensus on these amps is that they cover a lot of ground, which is of course sometimes expected when you pay this much for 3 channel boutique tube amp.
They do everything from pretty damn clean tones, vintage-y over drives, to full on saturated gain.
Obviously the main target is towards high gain lead guitarists but they could be used for anything from jazz to balls to the wall metal I suspect (although the amp voicing is more suited towards lead guitarists rather than technical death riffery)
Hell, I'd buy a Bogner if they weren't insanely expensive in AustraliaLOL

Here's my guitar stuff

What is the pedal furthest left on your pedalboard? Also, is that two equalizers on top of your amp?

The furthest left is an E2 Akai Headrush delay/tape delay/looping pedal, it's actually the same as the one right next to it, but the more recent and better moedl. Really nice pedals, actually. Very good for the spacey looping stuff I do, and it's fantsatic for jamming.

And on top, yes, 2 EQs, the left one is a vintage Ibanez Parametric EQ and then a Boss Grapic EQ on the right.

My set-up is actually different from this now: I got a Lehle P-Split so that I can run each looping pedal independantly into each different channel of my JC-160 and I bought a Behringer Ultra Metal pedal yesterday for an experimental metal music project that I'll be starting up with some friends soon. It will have 3 guitarists and 2 bassists and will be all polyrhythmic and symphonic, yet repatative and symplistic.

Ohh, I forgot to ask about the Parametric EQ.
I didn't even know Ibanez made those pedals, wow. Looks really cool.
Do you know what year it was made?

You buy Behringer pedals too? I own a Behringer NR-100 Noise Reducer, works just as good as the Boss equivalent except I only paid 1/4 of the price of the Boss pedalBig smile

I never knew they did either, but I was lucky to stumble across it in a pile of electronics in a friend's bedroom who was pulling a part old electronics to make into artworks. Lucky I came across it before he pulled it apart! I've done some reasearch on it, but not much comes up. I think it was made in the early 80's. Sounds nice though!

And yeah, those Behringer pedals are great! I only have the one, but it sounds really good. The plastic casing seems a bit dodgey, but easily overlooked for the price and sound.

Theremin!! I wondered what it was that Joe Bonamassa was playing his guitar over when I saw him on tour last year!

He uses it on his new album "The Ballad Of John Henry" and also during a section of Dazed And Confused he plays on stage.

Jimmy Page always used one live on the mid-section of 'Whole Lotta Love' as well.

The most impressive things about this picture are the Zappa and Bowie material on the wall.

Your gear reminds me of Steve Howe somehow...

How do you like your Daddy O?

Sorry, I missed the Daddy O question. It works well with the Cool Cat chorus and I've added a smaller Danelectro unit called "Surf n Turf" for more sustain. I'm looking into an echo unit because I like the sound that Gary Moore had on the title track from Grinding Stone and Peter Green used on End Of The Game. We'll see how it works out.

One last thought before I go off line and put on a movie. There's a lot of nice gear here and everyone has a lot of great floor toys which means a lot of cables. A few years ago a guitar tech friend of mine recommended Planet Waves cables and I've used them every since. I especially like the shorties with ninety degree jacks for the Pedaltrain.

Do most of you use a specific brand of cables or a variety that you've accumulated over the years?

I bought some high hand George's L custom jack but you had to build the jack and I was not good at that, even if it's easy, there was always some problems so I switched to good jack but not high end.

That'a a nice board. I see you have a Small Stone. In the mid-seventies my gear consisted of a Cry Baby wah wah, a Mosrite Fuzz Tone and a Small Stone Phase Shifter. The '74 Strat was the only guitar I owned and I played it through a 45 watt amp called a Moon 45 made by Seamoon Ltd. in northern California. I'm pretty sure that nobody has heard of this amp or the company.
