How d'you feel about the Catapilla debut Samuel? I was quite underwhelmed having discovered the sophomore release Changes first. Must've been hears since I last heard the debut - maybe I've changed my mind.

It's the first time I listened to them and I really liked it, even though the production is not very good. The saxophones and the guitar are so groovy

Ha, I thought you really would have dug the hell out of that debut, Dave, it's so rough and energetic! I've got a review ready to go and I'm toying with giving it a 5 star rating! However, in comparison, I barely know the follow-up yet, I just wanted to commit to the first album before moving on to it.

Yeah as I mentioned it's been hears (?what?) erm years since I last span it, so it is perfectly reasonable to think that I've changed my mind The way you just described it though, Michael, makes me want to check it out immediately! Too bad I'm far too busy catching rays in the garden - listening to modern electronic (Prince Thomas - Principe del Norte. Something like Schulze going space disco if that's makes any sort of sense). In any case you both owe it to yourselves to check out 'Changes'. One of my favourite psychedelic albums that incorporates saxophone (and a killer twin guitar attack).

Wow, that would be a great show. Maybe things will work out so you will be able to go.
I think L'Ira Del Baccano could be considered borderline Heavy Prog already. Although some of the genre purists around here might argue that point.

Radio Moscow - Magical Dirt | Love that band/dude! one of the most retro sounding bands I know, maybe not progressive but still should appeal to any psych hard rock fan. I have the first 4 albums and as great as they are the band does not evolve, they just keep releasing the same album time after time. So is this album any different or again just the same?

^ Pretty much the same but very good anyway. I was able to accumulate four albums on colored vinyl but it took some searching to find them at decent prices. Something that is different is a CD called "3 & 3 Quarters" which is early material recorded before the actual band was formed. The quality sounds like it was home recorded and the music is more punk than it is psych rock. The full album is on YouTube.
