Necktie i can recommend you lots of albums that I think you would like, but I'm not sure I want to fill this whole thread with music discussion; once I get started I don't stop :P

Black Clouds is a great album. You can't go wrong with most of their stuff though.

If your going to make recommendations, I insist you do it in drawing format.

Ew, Black Clouds is icky.  Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence is their best, bar none.

Symphony X are boring.

...

<_<

6 Degrees is my favorite too, but I do like Black Clouds quite a bit.

And I agree, I don't really like Symphony X either. Dream Theater does what they do about 9001 times better. But that's just my opinion.

IMHO DT and Symphony X are quite a bit different

Yeah I did not like Systematic Chaos or BC&SL at all.

But most of their other stuff is good.

oh - trice - nice job on the recomendations :)

also - alex - your epic 150 made me *squee* several times. - espec no `1 ;) - but also - when I saw the bowie earlier on the list I was all - yea heroes is great but wtf? no love for ziggy?? (also - why wasn't aladian sane there to?  - in my mind - it's almost a double album. :) )

ok - I'm off to make have my epic tom waits listen-to-athon - I'm sure I'll peek back in here - but - ya know - I'll be distracted by carefully noting which songs I need to tell a person to listen to. ;)

also - when night is over - can all of us that are now having fun off topic please come back and offer opinions and stuff on topic? I hate to be a nag - but ya know - game is fun when everyone's engaged in playing it
