Does Caio know?

Ever since I confessed Symph X >>> DT things havn't been the same with us. Cry
I'm really sorry to hear that.

DT is sliiightly better that Symph X in my book. Symph X used to be my second favorite band, though.
They are still very much badass. Easily my third or fourth favorite PM band, after DT, Opeth, and perhaps Riverside.
How is Iconoclast?  Paradise Lost was their first album that I didn't like.  (I will have to re-listen to it), and it made me leery about buying Iconoclast.

Yes

Scott, I love Iconoclast but if you didn't enjoy Paradise Lost I would probably stay clear of it. It's a continuation from there. Less outright progressive, symphonic and more metal.

There are other albums that I like better than anything Opeth did (like Om or Marrow Of The Spirit), but overall yeah Opeth pretty much own everyone in progressive metal.

Alright guys. Have a good weekend!  I don't expect to be around too much the next few days.  Hopefully, we get the Tigers - Diamondbacks game in tonight.  It is looking like it might be another wet one.

For my purposes Negura Bunget and Agalloch aren't considered "mainstream" prog metal.

That is what I am afraid of.  I'll give it another listen this weekend and see if my opinion has changed at all.  This being said, I did really enjoy The Showdown from Allen and Lande.  That was a pretty good power metal album.
