It's a good album, too bad I can't listen to it without thinking about body mutilation.

I think work is going to suck today.

I have to be at Bed Bath and Beyond at 6am on Black Friday. I'm probably going to be on register instead of on the floor. So it could be worse!

That would be the only reason I would ever be at a Bed Bath and Beyond at 6 am.

Woo, I got 86% on the tone deaf test! I would have done better but I lost attention in the middle and thought three that were the same were different. When I was answering them, the difference I heard was so subtle I was wondering if I was just imagining it but I thought I should go with my gut.

I scored around 90 on that test. It has nothing to do with music, it has more to do with not being in a coma.

Ok then, what was the answer to the first question?
Not so good on the adaptive pitch, I only got around 3 the first time and lower than that as I went on.

You mean the first question on the visual learning test? It is the answer with a black box and then a red box.

OK, now it makes more sense. But it's still silly and I'm not finishing it.
76 on rhythm test.

It isn't hard really. At most you have to pick out two different instruments at a time, and you can replay it. It is a bit pointless though.
Embryo is good.

Well I only used a couple replays because replaying misses the point. The problem is that it's a measure of memory as much as being able to tell pitches apart. I did see a video once about a woman who had the silly scientific term amusia, and she wasn't able to tell apart 2 pieces of music that had a pitch difference like the ones at the beginning of the adaptive pitch test. It was weird.

That is odd, especially when there are musicians who are nearly completely deaf.

Rick Wright claimed that Roger Waters was nearly tone deaf and he had to tune his bass for him during rehearsals. But this was after they had their fight so he may have just been bitter.

I have heard that too, I don't think it makes much of a difference. Personally my favorite playing of his is on percussion on the song "A Saucerful of Secrets" from Live at Pompeii.

The other part of that claim is that the reason the vocals on SOYCD are so haggard is because he had to sing them over and over to stay in tune, but he sang on his solo albums just fine, so I don't really buy it.

I don't know why people are always hating on Waters, having an ego doesn't automatically mean he sucks any more than Gilmour.
And the puppies are adorable.
