Speaking of which, I called my mom last night to wish her a happy birthday.
While not completely "un-awkward," it was a pleasant 45-minute talk and I hope I persuaded my mom to go out to a nightclub with my brothers. 
See...my family are "push it under the rug" kind of people...talking about things only makes them worse.
My wife doesn't understand that. Maybe someday.

I wrote my best metal riffs six years ago I think... I finally inserted two of them into a song about a year ago, I should complete that some day...
