So, will be seeing more Ricochet around here from now on, or is this just a one-off appearance?

It's a total relapse.
Don't know about being motivated by anything except shredding, though.

Nope 'cause pre-O'Sullivan Guapo was still a different band to what it is now.

Although in some ways I think I may like the new album as it'll be more Zeuhlish and Daniel doesn't want to play Zeuhl any more.

PA is so derp-infested nowadays, I hardly even venture out of JFF or the collab zone anyways.  You wouldn't be missing much LOL

Gotta say that is a troubling departure.

It has gotten pretty derp infested, I used to have meaningful conversations in numerous places in the prog lounge but that's impossible nowadays.

PA has always been derp-infested.  The Shred is the lone voice of reason in a world of hysteria and insanity.

Yep.  Due to his involvement with Ulver and being in Norway a lot and stuff, it means the rest of the group didn't feel it was fair.  Besides, as I said, Dan isn't really into the Zeuhl sound any more.

It was announced by Dan on Facebook the other day and then my mate down the pub who is friends with Aesop mentioned it too.

Low care for prog, so not heading to discussions.

Define derp, though.

It's way more derp infested now than it was when I first got here. I'm sure it's Dream Theater's fault.

I'm paraphrasing here:

"Only clone bands are actually modern prog, any band who creates thought provoking music that expands the boundaries of rock but doesn't sound like Yes, Genesis, Rush, etc. isn't actually prog.
