Hey three months of excitement are well worth getting geared up for!  I remember that Stanley Cup Final Game last year went 3 or 4 OTs, I couldn't get away from the television and it was nearing 3 AM

I guess by June you are in baseball mode eh?

As long as they don't play Edmonton in the first round...that was a disaster

Gonna have to disagree entirely about your AL West pick, manofmystery.  Angels had remarkably good luck last year--though they would have run away with the division anyways--and their pitching staff has been decimated by injuries.  Nobody can lose a starting pitcher to free agency and three more to injuries and be a "no brainer" to win a division.  Texas has a startling lack of pitching, and they only have three or four good position players.  I think the A's will slighly edge out the Angels through defense, young pitching, and a couple sluggers.

That staff is too inexperienced to win a divison.  The Angel's can easily hang around (and likely still build a lead on the other teams) till their experienced staff gets healthy.

Hopefully in the first round Big smile

The Pirates had a winning record against THREE teams last year and the Cardinals were one of them.....This series has not surprised me at all, and I'm a Cardinals fan

Have you got Raff coverted to a hockey fan yet, or does she just go to the bar with you for the chicken wings and beers?

Fat chance in hellLOL! I used to be a soccer fan in the past, but then got disgusted by the way it has become just a big business, and polluted by politics too (at least in Italy, where many soccer players have openly declared their sympathy for Fascism).

Just got word that the driver had been convicted of at least one DUI in the past.  This was probably another one.  Freaking idiots.

Went to the Yankees Orioles game this afternoon and boy did the Yankees put the hurt on em. 11-2! Too many Yankee fans made the trip to Camden Yards for my liking...one next to me commented about my Cubs hat and I in turn commented about Bill Mazeroski and the 1960 World Series. Apparently Yankee fans don't tell their children about such things. But it was all in good jest, the guy was very nice and I actually enjoyed his conversation; keeping score always sparks conversation at a ballgame...my first game of the year and I'm remembering why I love baseballTongue

It's opening day in the Motor City.  Unfortunately, work is too busy and I had to sit this one out.  I'm kind of bummed because I'll have to miss the first 6 games due to work. So my opening day will be the Yankee series at the end of the month.

First opening day in about 7 years that I have missed and the Tigers win 15-2. Angry  Now I will be labelled a jinx and not allowed to go to any more opening days.
