I believe the White Album is the closest they got to a masterpiece, it is such a varied album and includes perhaps their finest track: Revolution 9 Smile
Classical music isn't dead, it's more alive than it's ever been. It's just not on MTV.

Not really a Beatles fan (I actually hate many of their songs - MANY) but, for the most part - Revolver and Magical Mystery Tour somehow 'work' for me.
