So are Harry and I are the only people on P.A. who haven't bought presents for anyone or even care about Christmas?

I haven't bought any presents but it's cause I'm broke, usually I enjoy it

But you at least have a Christmas spirit, David...

I hate shopping unless it's for myself (and even then I often dislike it still).

I have no idea what anyone wants.  They won't be grateful anyway.

So I really cannot be bothered to spend money on people who really don't appreciate it.

Yep, same here.

All I want is books or CDs (or more expensive stuff like a keyboard) and my taste is weird... plus I never get around to reading much.

CDs are the most useful but it's hard to find most of what I want.  I want Opeth's Roundhouse Tapes though but I'm not sure if Kim's bought me it so I cannot ask my family to get it.

Oh well.

Chances are Kim's not go me anything 'cause she's annoying.

I just ask for gift certificates for Amoeba, excellent international and Prog selection, or I can get a movie too

That doesn't work for me really... all I can buy in music stores where I live is popular stuff, classical and some jazz and blues.

The selection is not very good.

I can get Opeth CDs though and I once saw Scarsick in Zavvi. LOL  Never any other PoS album though.

Morning all. Plus side, I got an offer from Oxford. Minus side, from St. Hughes, which I can't say I liked that much when I went for interview there (plus, it's miles away from everything)... nevermind, was probably just the interview period slowing everything down.

Besides, there was quite a bit of talent there Wink

Nom. I'd sort of wanted an offer from Corpus Christi (definite no) or Jesus (probably none) a bit more. I know it's completely priggish to be disappointed with an offer from Oxford, but I slightly am.

What's up in Svenskalanda?

Oh, I'm suffering a little from a hangover. Slept most of it off, but it's still making me feel tired. I'm trying to clean up a little here as well, since tradition apparently dictates that mess isn't compatible with Christmas spirit.

LOL good fun. I work on the principle that my room is going to be a tip after/if the presents arrive, so they're going to need an acclimatisation period where it is at least messy.

You do that. I'll keep myself busy with something inspiring, like folding.

If you go to Oxford, we can meet up.  Oxford isn't too far from me. Big smile

I've never even heard of St. Hughes... they never have a team on University Challenge (it's always Corpus Christie or Jesus College).

St. Catherine's is the ladies College isn't it?
